This exciting business program, sponsored by the German Ministry of Economy and Environment, aims to foster cooperation and exchange between German and Chilean small and medium-sized businesses. It has been running for nearly three years, and this year has nearly 15 participants, including Ricardo Muñoz of Seninco SpA.
An urgent consultancy for design assistance in Splinkler Systems in some rooms of the Absormex complex in Mexico, has constituted our second export of services from Seninco SpA, this time, it has been our Engineer in HVAC and Fire Detection and Control Systems, who has been requested for this service, provided from Chile in teleworking mode with deliverables sent by email and electronic files, this service was provided in April 2024.
Centinela belongs to the Antofagasta Minerals PLC group, a Chilean multinational mining company. Among its challenges, they have managed to replace fresh water in processes with seawater, which results in tremendous savings of this scarce resource in the high Atacama Desert. For them, it has required the pumping of water through pipes for more than 100 km, overcoming slopes of approximately 2,500 meters, all the way to the Chilean highlands. The Seninco SpA team participated by supporting other companies in the Electrical, Instrumentation, Project Control, Structures, Hazop Workshop Design and other areas, in a working group of approximately 15 people for approximately one year.
A comprehensive consultancy for corporate electrical design criteria was developed by our Electrical Engineer, Mr. Richard Salvo, for our client Absormex in Mexico during 2024. This activity constituted our first formal export of services, enabling us to perform this type of work with the required legal and tax formalities. Seninco engineers have a history of numerous projects in different countries, but this has been the first activity undertaken in our new company.
A very interesting Basic Engineering Review for the feeding of wood chips by rail from Valdivia to Nueva Aldea was commissioned by Arauco in March 2024. This work was carried out in a multidisciplinary manner by almost the entire team of Seninco specialists, making major changes and contributions to the original design, which will undoubtedly result in better use of resources by the client and clarity in the expected results.
The Arauco Horcones Plant required a complete Fire Protection Systems Engineering Review for its Transformer line. Seninco SpA formed a multidisciplinary team led by our Engineer Alejandro Núñez to carry out this project in nearly four months of work, with on-site visits and assistance from the Structures, Project Control, Capex, and other specialist areas. This work was completed in April 2024.
